About the Banff & Buchan Arts Forum:

The Banff and Buchan Arts Forum is a voluntary organisation. Working in association with Aberdeenshire Council's arts development team, to promote the arts and to serve the interests of the arts constituency, of both artists and audience, in the North Aberdeenshire area of north east Scotland. We also promote the arts and artists of the region.

Chairman of, the Banffshire Maritime Heritage Association, photographer and writer of poetry and non-fiction.


John Mackie, Treasurer
Writer (poetry, songs, libretti, screenplays and children's stories) and storyteller. Has lived in Banff since 1995.

David Watson Hood, Committee member and webmaster
A contemporary visual artist working in traditional and new media, painting, printmaking, and constructions as well as photography and computer generated digital imagery. Has lived in New Pitsligo since 1978 and has been involved with the Forum since its inception.

Librarian and IT instructor, supporter of the arts and has past experience as a craft worker.

Dianne Sutherland, Botanical artist and illustrator, specialising in native species and pollination systems. Has lived in Banffshire since 1989.
